How do I book an appointment to file my taxes at an H&R Block office?
Our website has an office locator where you may search for the closest office to you. From here you’ll find open office hours, phone number, and the option to book and appointment. Appointments can be made online or over the phone. You may also drop-off your taxes during office hours and a Tax Expert will prepare and file your return (no appointment needed). I have tax related questions about my return, who do I contact?
If an H&R Block Tax Expert has already prepared and filed your return, please contact the office location you filed your taxes with. If you have not yet visited an office but have general tax questions prior to filing your return, you can contact the office nearest to you for assistance.
I received a Notice of Assessment (NOA)/ NOR, who do I contact?
If you’ve received an NOR or an NOA, please contact the office you filed your taxes with, and they’ll be happy to assist you.
When are Trillium benefits paid?
Trillium benefits are paid out on the 10th
of each month. If the 10th falls on a weekend or stat holiday, your benefit will be paid on the last working day before the 10th.
How do I contact Canada Revenue Agency?
If you need to reach the Canada Revenue agency, you can call 1-800-959-8281 for any inquiries regarding your tax filing.
I’d like to file my taxes, but I haven’t received all my slips yet, what should I do?
If you haven’t received all your slips yet, you can visit one of our offices (and with your consent) one of our Tax Experts can get your information from the Canada Revenue Agency.
Easy Drop-Off
Did you know we offer a Drop-off service? Simply gather all your documents and drop them off at the H&R Block location nearest to you during office hours. How are the fees for Instant Refund calculated?

How is the price of filing my return determined, and will I be provided an estimate beforehand?

I have moved since filing my taxes last year, do I need to update my information with CRA?
If you’ve moved since last tax season, you’ll need to update your address with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Please contact the CRA with your new information prior to coming in to file your taxes. Afterwards, one of our Tax Experts will update the address on your file at tax time. Note: If you haven’t changed your address through the CRA, we may be unable to NETFILE your return as the information that the CRA has on file and the updated information we have on file won’t match.
The Eligible Educator School Supply Tax Credit.
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has announced that claims for the Eligible Educator School Supply Tax Credit won’t be processed until the following legislation has been enabled - “Bill C-8: Economic and Fiscal Update Implementation Act, 2021”. The CRA hasn’t indicated how long it would likely take for it to be passed.
Clients who are filing with this credit have 2 options:
1) We can file your tax return with the credit in place, however, the Canada Revenue Agency will put your return on hold until Bill C-8 has passed.
2) We can file your Tax Return without applying the credit, and once the Bill C-8 passes, we can help you with filing an adjustment at that time for the credit.
Can I NetFile CRA and paper file RQ or visa versa?
Yes, that is possible.
I cannot Netfile my RQ return as it says it is not available yet.
Can I file my CRA Return?
Yes you can file them at different times. Feel free to file your CRA return now and check back later to file your RQ return.
